Alipay rejects your card or fails ID verification while you're setting it up.

Try this now

Enter your name exactly as printed on your passport — no extra or missing middle names.
Try a different card (Visa, Mastercard and JCB are the most reliable); some banks block China e-wallets.
Redo identity verification with a clear, glare-free photo of your passport photo page.

If that doesn't work: Still stuck? Use the Tour Pass prepaid route inside Alipay, set up WeChat Pay as a second option, or have a local pay and repay them by Alipay transfer.
