Google Maps not working in China? Use these instead

Google Maps puts you in the wrong place or won't load directions.

Try this now

Switch to Amap (高德地图) or Apple Maps — both are accurate inside China.
Search by the Chinese name or paste the Chinese address from your booking.
For metro and buses, use Amap's transit tab or the official city metro app.

If that doesn't work: No working map? Show a local the Chinese address and ask for directions, or screenshot your route while you still have signal.
